- Monthly urine drug testing capabilities, with results sent to Genesis Treatment Services.

Requirements

- All services, including intake, counseling, and medication administration, occur at Genesis Treatment Services locations.
Detailed Protocols for Complete Remote MAT
Intake Process for New Patients
- Schedule an intake assessment with Genesis Treatment Services.
- Submit required forms (Consent for Release of Information, Patient Profile), patient ID, and insurance verification.
- Collect and submit a urine sample for testing before the intake.
- Conduct intake via telehealth with our Nurse Practitioner or Medical Director, followed by a counseling session.
- Medications are delivered weekly, starting with a titration period to achieve stability.
Titrations to Achieve Stability (First 2–3 Weeks)
- Patients start with a “beginning dose,” adjusted weekly based on withdrawal symptoms.
- Regular communication with Genesis Treatment Services ensures timely dose adjustments during the titration period.
Other Required Services After Intake
Counseling
- Weekly individual counseling sessions (30–60 minutes) are mandatory.
- Counseling is conducted via telehealth (with video) or telephone.
- Noncompliance with counseling requirements may negatively impact treatment outcomes.
Drug Testing
- Facilities must collect at least one monthly urine drug sample (standard MAT panel) for each patient.
- Test results must be faxed to Genesis Treatment Services promptly.
Medical Provider Follow-Ups
- Regular follow-ups with a Nurse Practitioner or Medical Director are required.
- These appointments are typically conducted via telehealth but may occasionally require in-person visits.
TB Screening
- Facilities must conduct and submit TB test results or arrange for in-person testing at Genesis Treatment Services if the patient meets the criteria for testing.

- Patients must not have access to this storage under any circumstances.

- A designated and appropriately licensed medical staff member must witness and confirm the ingestion of medication daily.
